" Não gosto de meias palavras, de gente morna nem de amar em silêncio" 

Foi esta frase, que eu encontrei já nem sei bem onde, que me levou a começar uma vontade de sempre. 

A pintura deixou de ser vontade e passou a ser paixão. Direi mesmo vício.

As tintas, as cores, as texturas, os cheiros, as manchas na roupa, a imaginação, a criatividade, o instante em que um quadro começa a ganhar forma na nossa cabeça, o tempo que não tem limite para concretizar esse instante.

Começamos a ter o nosso próprio espaço, que não partilhamos, porque é só nosso.
Cultivamos o nosso momento, acrescentando à pintura aquilo que nos faz sentir bem: um "soft jazz", um bom vinho, o silêncio da noite.

Olhamos o mundo de outra forma, com outra perspectiva, com outra luz, com outra interioridade.

E o nosso interior muda também. Fica mais sensível, mais paciente, mais tolerante, mas também mais crítico e exigente. 

Porque pintar é tudo isso.

É a expressão da nossa alma face ao que nos rodeia. É o prazer de dar forma aos nossos sonhos. É a tradução dos nossos sentimentos em cada momento.
É tudo isto que tento transmitir através dos meus quadros.

Porque é assim que eu sou!

" I don't like half words, dull people nor loving in silence "

It was this phrase, which I found somewhere a long time ago, that lead me to start an old life desire.

Painting stopped being a desire and started being a passion. I'll even say an addiction.

The paints, the colours, the textures, the smells, the stains on the clothes, the imagination, the criativity, the instant in which a painting starts gaining shape in our head, the time without limitation to fulfill that instant.

We start having our own space, which we don't share, because it is only ours.

We enrich our moment, adding to painting what makes us feel good: a "soft jazz", some good wine, the silence of the night.

We look at the world in a different way, with another perspective, with another light, with another interiority.

And our interior also changes. We become more sensitive, more pacient, more tolerant, but also more critic and demanding.

Because painting is all that.

It is the expression of our soul facing what surrounds us. It is the pleasure of giving shape to our dreams. It is the translation of our feelings in each and every moment.

It's all this that I try to transmit through my paintings.

Because that is how I am!
